Santa Monica had recently become a centre of attraction and some people were even calling it the place for baby lovers or ‘Let emma be with her lover’. Well all this because of a recent news of Emma Watson cuddling up with her boyfriend at a spot in Santa Monica. Well, that’s not what I am going to criticize or comment upon here.
I belong to Santa Monica, and I love my home! It’s the one of the most cleanest, most beautiful and responsible place we can think of in the USA. But we are not always responsible, are we? This is especially when it comes to small things which are a part of our day to day lives. Take the Emma case for instance, she could have been more responsible in public and avoided negative publicity (and spoiling Santa Monica’s pride and name! sigh!) unless otherwise, she actually wanted it for herself (who knows). Keeping that aside again, we come back to the common people, just like you and me.
Last week I committed this huge blunder because of a silly mistake which resulted in a lockout! Ah, well, getting all geared up for me to narrate my story, huh? Well, my blunder was no lockout kiss scandal! It was a mere lockout. But you should still read on, because this might happen to you as well and you don’t want to spoil our hometown’s name and get famous for the great lockout in Santa Monica! So, before leaving a factory I was supposed to visit one day (my work finished in the evening). I was supposed to lock back a store room within the factory and give the keys safely back to the guard. I did lock the room and was going to give the keys safely to the guard. But that’s where the problem started. The keys were lost! And the tragedy was that the stuff in that room was required to be transported at 4 in the morning!
The watchman and I got really panicky, because we also knew that we’d not find any locksmith in Santa Monica at that hour of the day! But, thanks to my presence of mind and my internet enabled 3G smart phone, all I had to do was check in and look for a ‘ Santa Monica locksmith company and voila! My problem was solved in no time! Lesson to be learnt is – although prevention is better than cure, presence of mind is also a healer!’
